Poetry: Learning

I let the stove go to long
I have to throw it out
But that’s nothing to fear
Nothing to worry about
Don’t see it as a failure
But as a chance to start again
There’s nothing you can’t learn
As long as you open mind and eye
And if you stop and are satisfied
You might as well just wait to die
So in cooking, writing, and art
Don’t worry about needing to rush
Just go back and pick up the pen
Wash your dishes, and re-dip the brush.
