Poetry: Running Together

Nothing to care for
Stay poor
Give in to time’s attack
Lose track
It’s time to come back
But you still lack
Reasons to go fore
Want more
So you can get out
The door

Why did you let the rains
Fall down on our trust?
Why did you let your bonds
Rot away into the rust?
Everything you do only matters
When it bumps into the others
And everyone’s lives are
Running together because they must.

Poetry: Whiggamors

Across the mountains you come
Oh, you whiggamors.
You call us to fight against the tyrants,
The kings and the lords.
“The people deserve as say in their fate!”
Goes your rally cry.
You struggle against the chains of words
Whose ink has long dried.
New ideas, new politics, new laws
Written by chosen hands.
The people are free to persue
Their wealth and plans.

What has happened to you
Oh, you whiggamors?
Once so sure of what history
Would be going towards.
You overthrew the tyranny
Of those crowned by priests.
Why do you now allow
The sciences be called pest?
Why are you not afraid
Of the tyranny of your king?
